Empowered voice Book Inauguration

Voice of Empowerment

Even today, women's voices are suppressed to a great extent, and when attempts are made to emerge, various obstacles arise. When a daughter tries to manage the household or take on family leadership, society - still unable to break free from patriarchal thinking - often becomes a hindrance. Women have not yet been able to escape from the pinnacle of labor exploitation and sexual exploitation, in addition to the violence and discrimination they face. To free themselves from this situation and entanglement, women have begun to raise powerful voices. Women caught in the web of labor and sexual exploitation have also begun to struggle fiercely to break free from the net of exploitation. Even after escaping the web of exploitation, problems often arise about how to manage life thereafter, but this book shows that if these women receive some support, it provides great relief in moving forward. The inspiring facts in this book demonstrate this through the stories of women affected by trafficking who have told their own stories. These success stories compiled in the book “Empowered Voices" are representative. Such stories still exist in various districts and villages across the country. Sunita Foundation has searched for and brought to light the reality of individuals who have fallen victim to human trafficking and various forms of exploitation. “We have included their real stories, but have not used their real names," though the stories remain factual. The book establishes that economic reintegration becomes a ladder for women who have faced the most difficult problems simply because of being female, from the age of eight-ten years to adulthood. Sunita Foundation believes that this not only spreads a ray of hope but also becomes inspirational.

The state must also play a significant role in changing society's behaviour for 'daughters', i.e., women. “Empowered Voices" seeks supportive minds and positive thinking while exposing the violence, exploitation, and discrimination that women still face today. For this, there is a need for positive roles in the behavior of the state and all concerned parties.
